AEROSPACE AND ENERGY AS CATALYST FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY, ICT AND MEDICAL DEVICES FOR HEALTH INNOVATION
Cross4Health was funded with 5M€ through an INNOSUP grant from the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Commission. During three years, Cross4Health supported innovative SME-led projects which leveraged technology and know-how from the Aerospace, Energy and Creative Industries sectors for the benefit of personalized Healthcare.
We used the knowledge and experience gained in these sectors of science and technology to provide state-of-the-art medical care and medical devices. By launching two Open Calls and two 9-month Acceleration Programmes, the project has supported 60 SMEs to get closer to the market with their innovative solutions.
In addition, Cross4Health organised several events across Europe including Hackathons, Ideas competitions, workshops, webinars and pitching contests. These opportunities further supported idea creation and collaboration between cross-sectorial European companies.
An important publication is the C4H White Paper which summarises all the lessons learned: how the project supported startups in taking ideas from mock-up prototype to large-scale demonstration and some of the success stories along the way.
