LAUNCHING THE DIGIT-PRE INNOVATION SUPPORT PROGRAMME FOR SMES IN PORTO AND MALMO
What is DIGIT PRE?
DIGIT-PRE (part of the I3 programme – Interregional, Investment, Innovation)is not just another project; it also stands as a powerful tool for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) seeking to bring their innovative healthcare products to market rapidly. The project uniquely focuses on consumer-facing solutions that target prevention, prediction, and remote care. It offers SMEs a personalized Innovation Support Program, which spans up to 15 months and provides access to funding and investor networks rooted in a digital framework with potential travel within the EU.
Launch of the Digit-Pre Innovation Support Programme
The innovation support programme kicked off in March 2024 in Porto and Malmö, bringing together the SME teams working on their innovation subprojects and the Digit-Pre project consortium. SMEs had the invaluable opportunity to personally engage with experts and other SME partners. Through dynamic pitch sessions and interactive carousel table sessions, attendees delved into their projects and conducted a thorough gap analysis.
Encompassing a diverse range of vital subjects such as financial planning, market preparedness, legal issues, intellectual property rights (IPR), business fundamentals, and communication strategies, participants analyzed their projects during the event. Following the exhaustive Innovation Health Check and this gap analysis, SMEs will leverage various innovation services to accelerate their entry into the market.
Moreover, additional assessments such as health technology assessment and market readiness assessment will also be conducted, followed by a comprehensive values dossier assisting SMEs in navigating their innovative projects to success after the 15-month innovation support programme.

Twelve projects have been selected through an open call to participate in the Digit-Pre Innovation Support Programme:
